About BBM

In support of the work of the Westchester Resilience Coalition, Westchester Library System invites the public and service professionals to learn more about a set of breathing techniques proven to reduce stress and improve mood.  The program of accessible exercises, known as BREATH-BODY-MIND™ (BBM), is offered as a resilience skill set that can support individuals and communities. In October 2019, more than 90 people participated in a WLS-sponsored Breath-Body-Mind Introductory Workshop led by Dr. Richard Brown and Dr. Patricia Gerbarg, recognized pioneers in evidence-based integrative medicine.

We are delighted that continued grant funding has allowed us to again offer this workshop in October 2020, along with a Level 1 Teacher Training program.  Our hope is that a community of practice will evolve in Westchester that can continue to bring these simple, evidence-based techniques to youth and adult audiences across Westchester County.
