E.P.L.Teen/Tween Summer Reading Programs

Trade Screen Time for Story Time!

Take a break from endless scrolling and reconnect with creativity, community, and great books at the library. This summer’s Teen & Tween Reading Program is packed with hands-on activities like crafting, knitting, dinosaur-themed art, community service projects, and reading challenges that reward every page you turn. While one program even lets you experience virtual reality, the real adventure happens when you unplug, pick up a book, and discover everything your local library has to offer. Your next favorite memory might be waiting on a library shelf instead of a screen. 🌟📖

The film, directed by James Redford, explores the value of play from a health perspective. It features high-performing individuals who prioritize play as essential to a happier life and demonstrate how play is a potent antidote to those subjected to stress and danger on the job, while highlighting the power of a playful approach to our daily lives, regardless of our circumstances. It serves as a reminder that play is a natural and essential part of our lives, from birth to adulthood.
